LibertyShield VPN extends partnership with Anfield Index and EPL Index

A growing collaboration across technology, design and audience experience reflects a more integrated approach to digital media partnerships.

LibertyShield has confirmed an extended partnership with Anfield Index and EPL Index, marking a continuation of a relationship that has gradually evolved beyond a standard commercial arrangement.

What began as a straightforward sponsorship has, over time, developed into a broader collaboration spanning marketing, design and technical infrastructure. The renewed agreement reflects that shift, formalising a more integrated approach between the three platforms.

Greg Murphy, CTO at LibertyShield, described the extension as a natural progression rather than a reset.

“From the outset, this partnership worked because there was alignment in how we think about users. It has never been purely transactional. Over time we found opportunities to share knowledge, refine user experience and support each other’s growth in practical ways.”

Anfield Index and EPL Index, widely recognised by football fans as part of the same ecosystem, bring a combined audience that is both engaged and global. That reach has been a key factor in LibertyShield’s decision to deepen ties.

However, the emphasis is not purely on exposure.

Murphy noted that collaboration on backend systems and design workflows has played an equally important role.

“There is real value in working closely with platforms that understand their audience at a granular level. That insight feeds directly into how we think about accessibility, performance and privacy.”

From LibertyShield’s perspective, the partnership also reflects a broader shift in how digital services interact with media platforms. Rather than operating in isolation, there is increasing value in shared expertise and coordinated development.

Gags Tandon, founder of Anfield Index and EPL Index, echoed that sentiment.

“We have always taken a long term view with partnerships. LibertyShield fits because there is mutual benefit beyond visibility. We have worked together on improving site performance, refining design and thinking about how users access content globally.”

The reference to global access is particularly relevant. Football audiences are increasingly international, and ensuring consistent, reliable access to content remains a challenge across regions.

While LibertyShield’s core offering sits within that space, the partnership itself is not framed as a promotional vehicle. Instead, it reflects a shared interest in improving how content is delivered and consumed.

There is also a practical element. Resource sharing across marketing and technology has allowed all three platforms to operate more efficiently, particularly as audience expectations continue to rise.

Looking ahead, the focus appears to be on incremental improvements rather than sweeping changes.

Murphy added:

“The goal is not to reinvent anything overnight. It is about continuing to refine what already works and identifying where collaboration can remove friction for users.”

For viewers, readers and listeners across Anfield Index and EPL Index, the extension may not immediately change the surface experience. Behind the scenes, however, it signals a closer alignment that is likely to shape how content and services are delivered over time.
