This Weekend in NFL – Underwhelmed – Watch Gamepass with NFL VPN

Week Seven of the 2021 NFL season does not present a particularly impressive slate of games. With all NFL action shown on Sky Sports in the UK and you can you also access NFL Game Pass International with a UK VPN.  If you use a USA VPN then you can access the America version of NFL Gamepass as well as NFL streaming networks like NFL Network, ESPN, CBS, Amazon Prime Video, NBC Sport and Fox; as well as their streaming partners lie Hulu, SlingTV and FuboTV. Need an NFL VPN?

Yes, into week 7 and we have plenty of outright unappealing games across the board, but there are a couple that should at least offer some good entertainment this Sunday.  Fun Fact: ‘NFL VPN’ is one of the most searched sports phrases on Google!

Our NFL VPN articles are brought to you in partnership with EPL Index, and Dave Hendrick – host of the Two Footed Podcast, offering FREE podcasts to football fans.

Let’s begin with the AFC North meeting between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals which in seasons past would have been of no interest given how poor the Bengals have generally been. For many years they were seen as one of the laughing stocks of the NFL. Poorly run, poorly coached, cheap and never a destination for players with ambition. That does seem to be changing though, and Joe Burrow is a major reason for it. The number 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft has given the entire organization reason for hope.

Joe Burrow NFL VPN IPTV

Burrow became a star at LSU leading the Tigers to an unbeaten season and a national title in historic fashion. Records were broken, opponents were demolished. Burrow, who had failed to earn a starting role at Ohio State before transferring down to the Bayou, catapulted himself to stardom and earned the right to hear his name called first in the draft. His first season with the Bengals was shortened by injury, and the Bengals were still largely terrible, but Burrow showed enough to suggest that better times were coming. The Bengals once again dipped into the LSU talent base and brought in Ja’Marr Chase who had been Burrow’s favourite target in the title winning season at LSU. The duo have already combined for five touchdowns this season, with Chase displaying the type of explosive productivity that made him a star in the college ranks.

A 4-2 start, in a notoriously tough division, represents a new dawn for the hapless Bengals who must have been dreading their interstate rival Browns becoming a high level team considering the talent disparity between them. Despite the Browns clearly having the better roster, the NFL is such a QB dependent league that the Bengals might be able to bridge the gap purely because Burrow is better than Baker Mayfield. The Ravens will provide them with a big test and may well be the team they have to compete with season after season for divisional honours as they continue to improve and add more quality to the roster.

The Ravens are the cream of the crop in the division and that can’t be forgotten. They’re one of the NFL standard bearers. A brilliantly run franchise with the type of continuity that few can even dream of. A settled roster, a coaching staff that is experienced and entrenched and a front office that always finds value on the margins. They may well have the best overall roster in the NFL, few teams could have withstood the injuries they suffered in the pre-season and gotten off to as good a start, and in Lamar Jackson they have a QB who already has an MVP to his name and is only going to get better.

This will be a big test for the Bengals more-so than the Ravens who will expect to win. It should be a good game between two good teams, one an established force and the other a team trying to shake off decades of stench.

Matthew Stafford Lions NFL VPN

The second game worth a watch isn’t really likely to be a good game, it’s more about the narrative. The LA Rams are a great team, one of the favourites to win the SuperBowl this season. The Detroit Lions are dreadful. Potentially a 0-16 team. They’re often unwatchable. BUT. This is the Matt Stafford game. The first time the new Rams QB will face his former team. Stafford spent 12 years in Detroit after being picked first in the 2009 draft. Always highly regarded because of his talent, Stafford had been viewed as someone who couldn’t win because people judged him too harshly and didn’t factor in just how poor the talent around him was. The Lions make the Bengals look well run. They are notorious in the NFL for how inept they are. It doesn’t matter who the personnel is, they can’t stop falling over their own feet. They have had three truly great offensive talents in the last 30 years. Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson and Stafford. Both Sanders and Johnson retired in the middle of their peaks, and rumours were that Stafford were considering doing the same before finally getting the trade he had long desired.

Stafford, of course, isn’t the only starting QB facing his former team in this game though. As part of the deal that sent him to LA, another former number 1 draft pick went in the opposite direction. Jared Goff had led the Rams to a Superbowl but never really found the consistency under centre that Sean McVay wanted. McVay decided that Goff was never going to give him the level of play he required to allow this immensely talented Rams team to reach their full potential so he pulled the trigger on a trade for Stafford. It’s a new lease of life for the former Lion, and he will want to put together a statement performance against his former team to show them what they could have become if they had been even slightly competent while he was there. Goff will also want revenge. He was traded from one of the best teams in the NFL to one of the worst. He was traded from LA to Detroit, which is not something a California kid is going to be pleased about. Things haven’t gone well for him with the Lions so far but that’s not really down to him. But if he is going to put in one good performance this season, then this Sunday against the Rams would be absolutely ideal. He’s not one to show much emotion, but I’d bet that causing an upset against McVay and the Rams at the SoFi Stadium would bring a smile to his face. More likely though, he and the Lions will suffer a heavy defeat by the Rams.
